Tips to Help You Get Organised

I hate nothing more than wasting time on unnecessary tasks such as looking for things, so over time I have developed systems and processes which enable me to get the most of each day, reduce the chances of feeling overwhelmed, utilise every space and minimise time spent on tasks such as paper management & filing, email management, housework, laundry and just running a household.

Each category is this section has a list of organisation tips that you can apply to your every day lives to make being organised simpler, as well as where to find the products in the sample images and blank templates you can download:

The mains things to remember are:

  • Create lists for everything
  • Put everything in your diary/organiser (i.e. personal appointments, social events, etc. - not just business related events)
  • Maximise the storage potential you have, e.g. behind doors, under beds, on walls, in your attic
  • Create storage for items where you use them
  • Always put things back in their place no matter what
  • If you don’t use it or wear it, throw it out or donate it
  • Always carry a notepad & pen/pencil for jotting down things so you can remember them later & action or add to a list

Even if you have limited space, with all the products on the market in places such as Bunnings, Ikea, Howards Storage, Spotlight, discount stores such as Sam's Warehouse and department stores such Big W these days, there really is a solution to maximize storage capacity for every space.
